Sheridan Memorial Hospital Association delivers 24/7 emergency medical services across Sheridan County through its dedicated EMS Department. Our team of highly trained professionals—including full-time and PRN staff—are always ready to respond at a moment’s notice to the needs of those who are ill or injured.
Our providers range from Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to Paramedics, all of whom are licensed in the State of Montana and nationally registered. Through ongoing continuing education and regular skills training, our team remains committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care.
Sheridan Memorial EMS operates three ambulances—two based in Plentywood and one in Medicine Lake—with a fully staffed primary crew in Plentywood available 24/7. With the support of the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Association Board, we continually invest in modern technology and equipment to ensure our community receives reliable, high-quality emergency response services.
In addition to emergency response, our EMS team provides around-the-clock interfacility transport for patients requiring specialized care. We are also actively engaged in community education, offering programs in CPR, first aid, and injury prevention. The department plays a key role in workforce development by providing professional training at the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), EMT, and Advanced EMT levels.
Collaboration is central to our mission. Sheridan Memorial EMS works closely with local law enforcement, fire departments, and border patrol to ensure a coordinated, multidisciplinary response when it matters most.
