Volunteer Opportunities

Sheridan Memorial Hospital Association offers a number of opportunities for those willing to give their time. There are three specific areas of need:

Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary
Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is a group of volunteers that serves our patients and families and raises funds for equipment, furnishings and patient care items. For more information or to volunteer call Laura (Angvick) Horner, President.

Activities Volunteers
These compassionate individuals play an important role in providing excellent care to our nursing home residents by offering a wide range of activities and services. For more information or to volunteer call Amy Goetzinger at 406.765.3768.

Hospice Volunteers
Hospice Volunteers provide companionship, emotional support and respite for families. Volunteers may also provide transportation, run errands, provide office support, offer bereavement support to families, assist with fund-raising and other promotional activities.

Volunteers are asked to attend three meetings a year. Actual volunteer time is flexible depending on the needs of the patients, families and other activities in which the volunteer chooses to be involved.

The required training is offered annually by Hospice, and is open to anyone 18 years and older.

For more information or to volunteer call Sandy Overgaard at 406.765.3708.

Foundation Volunteer
Sheridan Health Care Foundation is active with fundraising activities for Sheridan Memorial Hospital Association. They host two annual events; The Foundation Golf Tourney the 3rd Saturday of July and The Foundation Kickoff Event held in the winter. If you are interested in helping with either of these events, please call Connie Anderson at 406.765.3709.
