Sheridan Memorial Laboratory Sheridan Memorial Hospital Association (SMHA) has three full-time and one part-time State certified, Board registered Clinical Laboratory Scientists. The lab personnel do a wide range of clinical testing in the disciplines of: Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Hematology, Bacteriology, Chemistry and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring. Direct Access Testing became available to Sheridan Memorial patrons as of late 2010. Direct Access Testing was specifically set up to give our patients access to affordable, effective ways to identify any potential health risks. These tests can be done without a providers order. A Community Health Panel, of 24 tests, is offered to the public through appointments made with the lab. The lab personnel obtain the specimen and perform the test that same day. This panel is available once per year as a service to our community. It costs $35.00 at the time of the test. A reciept is available for submission to insurance. Bot the Direct Access Testing and Community Health panel are excellent ways for you to monitor your health. Being pro-active in your health care is very important and Sheridan Memorial laboratory helps you do so through tests offered.
